I recently acquired a 4 gal. (9A) DeWalt vacuum and decided to make the 10 gal. (10A) stationary at the bench. The Universal 12" hose reaches everywhere I need and fits with all my original DeWalt accessories perfectly. There is no clip on the motor side but the hose fits quite snug with a slight twist while inserting. It has not come loose with suck or blow. This 1 7/8" design size does have issues fitting into the myriad of DeWalt exhaust orifices but this is hardly a problem of the well made hose. I have purchased different silicone inter-cooler reducers for the various exhaust ports to allow this hose to snugly slide into place regardless if the machine is a table saw or palm sander.
A good purchase at a reasonable price.

Why would anyone sell a vaccuum with a hose and sell an accessory hose and not make it so you can connect them together. Had you make them connect together, you could roll the hose up and stick one end into the other for storage and they would stay together. This is really missing the boat.

Took a while to figure it out and where to go, but it worked out good and the hose fits well. now that i know it fits, need to buy another hose and the hand wand that i forgot on the first order. thanks.
