The bad: the instructions say to turn the adapter onto the hose. No way it’s going to work without taking the chance of breaking it. And the cost to send back the hose and attachments are cost prohibitive compared to the 2999 loss i will probably end up with. My only recourse is to really push hard to jam the attachment onto the tube. Looks like about a 50/50 chance of fitting versus breaking.
The good: the adapter fits the DeWalt 12 gallon stealth wet/dry vac. It also seems fairly sturdy.

8’ hose with 2-1/2” diameter

Hose fits great, no lose of suction. As this wasn’t a first party product, I was concerned it wouldn’t have suction like the default 1-7/8 hose that came with the shop vac. Not the case at all. Definitely would recommend for tools with 2-1/2”.
